The editor of a business magazine was sued for libel for comments he made concerning a businessman's dealings. The comments were made during the course of a television interview on a national network. While the magazine's policy would not provide coverage for the remarks made on the television program, because the editor had a personal appearance policy. The editor purchased this policy because of his frequent public speaking engagements. Legal fees to defend the case were a large amount.

PERSONAL APPEARANCE-TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT
A celebrity was sued by a trade group for alleged misappropriation of trade name related to a modeling pageant. The case was eventually dismissed, but not before legal fees incurred were of an above average amount.
